Cecilia Ma Zecha is Senior Director, Programming and Communications, for Forbes in Asia. Cecilia is responsible for editorial content development as well as the recruitment and management of speakers for Forbes events, including the annual Forbes Global CEO Conference and the Forbes Forum: Asia’s Power Business Women.
A former television news anchor, Cecilia is a presenter at Forbes events, serving as an emcee and a moderator for these and other Forbes events, including Forbes Asia ‘Best Under a Billion’ Awards Presentation, and the ‘Fabulous 50’ Economics Roundtable and Awards Presentation.
Cecilia is also responsible for managing public relations and corporate communications for Forbes in Asia.
Prior to joining Forbes in 2005, Cecilia was a television news producer and anchor for Asia Business News, which subsequently became CNBC Asia, where she established her career in broadcast journalism for 8 years in Hong Kong and Singapore.
While at CNBC Cecilia was the host of Asia Squawk Box, a 3-hour morning live program, where she conducted live interviews with economists, analysts, thought-leaders, captains of industry and owners of capital. Other shows she anchored include the Asian Wall Street Journal On-Air, World Market Outlook and Asia Market Wrap. In addition, Cecilia was the host of Managing Asia where she interviewed CEOs on leadership and management, and she was the host of CNBC’s inaugural program on executive women, Asia Working Woman.
Cecilia Ma Zecha was born and raised in Hong Kong until the age of 12. She attended high school at York House in Vancouver B.C. and completed an Honors Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature at the University of Western Ontario in Canada. She is a mother of three children aged 13, 11 and 6.
